Mishin said that David will make new programs for Liza and Artur, they're going to Canada at 13th of May.

Update on some of the senior men's programs:

Johnny is going to do a program called Phoenix. I wonder what piece of music he's going to use

And Brian Joubert is going to use music from the movie 'Inception'. It's in Russian so maybe some forum users here can translate...

Program Update!

Apperently one of Elizaveta Tuktamisheva's programs is called "Love Story" and is about a girl discovering love- it seems like an interesting concept (:))

Source is: http://nvspb.ru/stor...o-konsulu-48387 and the article was found at: http://www.fsunivers...&postcount=267. Can someone translate the rest of the article?

Yes it's true. I heard about it a long time ago from Liza, but couldn't tell it first. But since Mishin already said it, there is a possibility Liza will skate to this program next season. Though Mishin himself told the press that it is just a version choreographed by Kovtun. (It's not the final version as far as I understood. Mishin team is going to work with David, so they may change that program.) "Girl is becoming a woman, stepping into that period of time, when love story is very natural and right for her" Mishin about Liza. The rest of artcile is about Plushy, Artur, Camerlengo and Mishin's book.

Another (slightly belated ^_^) program update

Gracie Gold's SP is to "Hernardo's Hideaway" and her FS is to music from the "Life is Beautiful" soundtrack

Mao has done her SP and EX in Canada with Lori ( something bright and like musical). Also she is looking forward to different challenge( she was talking about program). FS is going to be by TAT.

I don't exactly have sources on me right now but from what I've gathered on forums,

Chan is not working with Lori this season but Dai is! WOW.

Chan's listed D Wilson and J Buttle as his choreographers on Skate Canada official web. Who'll do what is yet to be known.

I think I heard Joubert's goal is now Sochi. He must want some level of vindication at the Olympics. Poor guy has never even been lucky at this particular event:( AND for his lp, he's chosen the soundtrack of INCEPTION!!! How amazing would that be on him. I'm literally gushing over the images of him with those fine suits and music

I thought Evan Lysacek's competitive programs are Tango de Roxanne for sp and Samson and Delila for lp but the sp isn't confirmed yet.

Josh Farris is keeping his lp from last season, supposedly with new sp.

What I'm most expecting to see from US men is Richy Dornbush's program to With or Without You by U2. OMG one of the most romantic songs in my book :swoon1: IDK this hype of mine over him either. Maybe his Sherlock lp was so epic that I couldn't just get over it still :biggrin2:

And Kozuka is working with Yuka for his programs in US. Which program I don't remember. (Gosh my memory sucks :wallbash: :wallbash:) In a recent interview, he said that working with Kenji was great but that wasn't just his style.

And one more update :)

Nobunari Oda:

SP: Ragtime Music
FS: The Sorcerer's Apprentice and Daphnis et Chloe
EX: New York, New York

His choreographers are Tom Dickson for SP, Lori Nichol for LP, and Kenji Miyamoto for EX

Johnny W is going to have his sp with music suggested and handed by Lady Gaga! COOL!

c/o TAHbKA on fsu, from JW's interview.

Quote

SM: So the programmes are ready...
JW: In general yes. They are still to be polished but the skeleton is ready.

SM: Can you tell a bit? Which music are you going to use?
JW: It's a special kind of music. I'll just mention that I was personally given my SP music by Lady Gaga.

SM: You're kidding....
JW: Nope. The SP will be really cool. As for the LP... I went to the skaters of the 50s and the 60s, whose programme was much longer and included cuts from different pieces. I'll have the same, but modern and with a fast beat. There will be a lot of classical bits, music everyone knows. The theme of the programme is phoenix. How it rises from the ashes.

SM: Do you mean yourself?
JW: You bet. I'll tell my story on the ice.
...
SM: Lady Gaga gave you the music. Are you friends?
JW: As much as you can be friends with a superstar. She supports me, takes interest in my career. I was once sitting in her mother's restaurant and her mother told me `It would be great if you skated to Gaga's music'

SM: Gaga?
JW: Well, no, of course she called her Stephanie. Anyway, mom called the daughter and she sent me the music.

SM: Will you copy Gaga's costume?
JW: Perhaps.

Some belated (^_^) program news

Caroline Zhang will keep her "Rushing on the Wings of Dawn" SP and will have a new LP, choreographed by David Wilson. ()

Ksenia Makarova will also keep her "Marie and the Violin String" SP and her new LP will be choreographed by Ilia Averbukh

Kanako Murakami's FS will be choreographed by Marina Zueva

There's going to be a lot of the Sound of Music at Canadian Nationals; Vanessa Crone/Nikolaj Sorensen and Kaitlyn Weaver/Andrew Poje are both using it for their SD (actually not as much as I thought. -_-). Piper Gilles/Paul Poirier are skating to Mary Poppins for their SD and Alexandra Paul/Mitchell Islam are using music from "The Legend of 1900" for their FD.

In pairs, Denney/Coughlin are using swing music for their SP, which will be choreographed by Pasquale Camerlengo and "Phantom of the Opera" for their LP; Vasilisa Davankova/Andrei Deputat's (3rd at junior worlds) SP will be choreographed by Morozov and their LP is choreographed by Irina Zhuk; Takahashi/Tran's SP is "down to earth-ish" (:P) and their FS is "theatrical" according to Tran; and Volohaslar/Trankov's FS is done (nothing about music or choreographer)

Quote

Chen spent some time in southern California earlier this year working with Karen Kwan to create her new competitive programs. For the short program, Chen will skate to music from the film The House of Flying Daggers, and to Fantasy for Violin and Orchestra from the Ladies in Lavender soundtrack.“There are lots of drum beats in the background of my short program music, which makes it very powerful,” she said.
