Seems he want to do a 'all you can eat' buffet program, something for everybody. I just hope it won't ends up in trying to appease everybody, it ends up pleases no one. Weird I can see bits of Hanyu and Johnny Weir in there somewhere more than Plushy, to the point it feel there's an identity crisis in there somewhere? Sort of a classical version of Shabby Chic, the glitz, the glam, the aesthetic showmanship without any honesty, authenticity and actually cheapens the antiquity of the art.
Oh Plushy, i want to like this so bad, but I just can't.

I think he intended to do "Nijinsky"-like program.

After watching it for the third time each, I think I can really like Mao's Swanlake. Aside jumps which most of them had negative GOEs(which makes one wonder if her so-called "reworking technique" is really working or not), choreography was more intricate than any other programs Mao has done, transitions into jumps were amazing. I thought that she really wanted to garner as many points as possible for the program. (Too bad it was not even close to 130 even with that sky-rocking PCS, btw)
Tarasova must have taken it hard when critics were pouring in for the works she's done for Mao's competitive programs and now I must say, "Job absolutely well done, Mrs. Tarasova!"
ETA: Welcome to YNKF, kj! Post long and often
