PCS is low. But she's not helping herself by doing a weak 3S+2T combo, either. She needs a consistent 3/3 if she wants to contend.

^ Hate to say it, but it's another major disappointment for her...

Those jumps and mistakes with spin entries are not doing any favors to those oligarchical judges who only want to prop Russians.

Male figure skaters can develop into a more well-rounded and highly successful competitor at a much older age, but female figure skaters usually blossom at a young age. If you don't succeed when you are at your last year of junior or first two years of senior, chances are you will never reach very high level in the senior.

So Youn is beautiful and lyrical. Her jump technique is not bad by any means. But she's probably not going to be a top contender. Top 10 finishes should be her major goal. Her past two years have showed this again and again.

Well she was 9th last year at WC. This year's programs are both stronger, but arguably more challenging than ever.

Yes, that's why I said top 10 finish is what she should aim for. Top 5 is really too much to ask. But top 10 is already very good for a skater from such a small country in the figure skating world.

I really like her LP this year. Hopefully she can master the transitions. Ultimately it comes down to skating skills.

This year's competition may be tougher. Mao, Evgenia and possibly Adelina in the mix.
The problem with PCS is it is not just about skating skills... for skaters from minor federation, unless they have powerful coach, choreographer, press to back you up, you are on your own and is likely to take a few seasons before you can get recognized by producing good results.

Partually agree with your opinion but Os clarified perfectly. First of all I check the panel of judjes. Such person as Domanska (Svk) from "Sochi Olympic Team" and former Soviet block, also from Japan and Russia... So SY's SS worse than japan juniors and PCS are staying within last 2 years about 25.
