Can't wait to see her new exhibition. It's interesting that Mao will be a flag-bearer too!!

Wow...the Meditation already conquered my heart! I knew Gordeeva/Grinkov's and Valentina Marchei's versions and both are wonderful: G&G skated it as a Meditation of their love, while Valentina plays a role (Thais is the story of a woman who becomes a saint); Yu-Na skates it as a "Yu-Na's meditation" I think and it shows an other side of her. I especially like that moment after the first spin, when she stops, turning and moving her arms. And grey is the perfect color imo! It's a mature piece and in that dress she really looks like a woman. I'm sad that in Torino the tickets for the Gala were all sold weeks ago :-( I would LOVE to see it live! by the way I'll see the hot Bond Girl! Such a beautiful contrast between SP and Meditation!

I love Yuna's new gala dress. It looks like a light cloud around her when Yuna's doing the lay-back spin and creates a dreaming atmosphere beautifully.

I don't know have you seen Plushy's exhibtion, but this was just...WOW. I've never seen this side of him. I cried loudly all exhibition number :wub:

He and Stephane are genius, legends of figure skating.Daisuke is just step behind them. Evan and others are average, great skaters but nothing close to them.

I searched for some news and they say Yuna will bear the Korea Team flag when they enter Korea considering her symbolic status.

Yeah Plushy and Lambiel were very enjoyable to watch.

I also was surprised to see Lysacek improved so much than 3 years ago when i first saw him.

that doesnt make ANY sense.And Yu-na is the biggest star Koreans have and also won in FS where Koreans never won before.
I think its a sexist thing ,they want a man to hold the flag. :wub:

He's not fisrt Asian to win a gold medal in speed skating.

He 's the first Korean to get a gold medal in Vancouver.

Jim, portion of FS department in KSU is so small which is just about 10 % of all the KSU figures.

Mo also made a history winning the first speed skating medal for Korea.
so did Lee Sang-hwa in Women's speed skating. So did Lee Seung-Hoon in 10000M speed skating.

Yuna has been a superstar being spotlighted alone for a long time, so I guess speed skater is bearing a flag this time to balance the power of the departments. It's just a part of the politics.

Whew, blame Yuna for being extraordinarily distinguished.
Not to put too fine a point on it, they'd be so jealous if Yuna becomes the center of attention again despite their great success, since they're all human.
