There are four B-events in December: The NRW Trophy (5-9 dec.), The Golden Spin of Zagreb (13-16 dec.), The Denkova-Staviski Cup (13-16 dec.) and the Istanbul Cup (18-22 dec.). I think it will be the first or the second one, because they are the most famous and well-known. Note that Carolina Kostner will compete at the Golden Spin, so it would be a great challenge!

I've not heard that she planned to go to 4CC. She may or may not. I think it depends on how she feels.
What I'm wondering is ... who's going to be her coach?

I was kind of worrying about the issue of the coach before, but my worries have lessened a bit after seeing her at the show. Her jumps--including lutz, salchow, and toe--all look good. She's in good shape. She has a ways to go before elite competition, but she's doing quite well.
That's not to say that I think she doesn't need a coach. She does, but it's more important for her to get a well-known coach to be her spokesperson and handle the media, and not as important for the technical issues (emphasis on "not as important", because I don't mean it's not important at all).

She needs a coach, and I hope she gets one soon if she plans to compete in December. She doesn't have a lot of time left.
And yes, I hear ya on her needing a coach who can handle the intense media scrutiny and insanity. I thought Orser did that pretty well, but then he had to suffer the same thing when he was a competitive skater, which I'm sure helped.
I always thought Frank Carrol might be a good one for Yuna this time b/c he's such a calm and laid back guy. But he's also good and knows when to push and when to step back. Also he knows how to deal w/ the media very well. But I doubt he's going to coach Yuna.

This is the main problem, but I don't think Peter suits Yuna. Either Rafael or Frank. And her coach doesn't have to be famous or well known.

Wasn't he the one who personally asked David via e-mail to take her and make her a happy skater, then? Wow, him I can believe in!

I'm just not sure that Yuna can find a qualified coach, esp. the one who really understands the system and knows how to help Yuna milk GOP without destroying her artistry.
Moving will be painful, but she said in an interview that training for competitions require many sacrifices, and it's not like she didn't know.
I suspect that this season's result and how things develop with newer / younger skaters this season may impact Yuna's decision even more (in case she was hoping to get by with staying in Korea).

Five years ago.
That's when Kim Yu-na captivated the world in her senior-level debut with el Tango de Roxanne a fierce program that marked the beginning of her reign in figure skating.
And she returned as that very tanguera in black -- this time -- only stronger.
Although she skipped the season after the World Championships in April last year her triple jump and signature ina bauer - linked by the double axel were still flawless.
And of course only she can mix things up to flaunt her techniques and please fans.
[Interview : An Chol-yong, Incheon Resident] "I'm a huge fan of Kim Yu-na, and she's a star here in Korea so we had to come and see -- as it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. We drove all the way from Incheon and all the skaters were really good, my daughter loved it."
As they have done in all of her ice shows, the world's most talented skaters including four-time world champion, Russian Alexei Yagudin, and Vancouver bronze medalist, Canadian Joannie Rochette joined Kim on ice.
This is Kim's last show performance before returning to the competitive scene as she announced a month ago.
[Interview : Kim Yu-na, Figure Skater] "Performing an ice show is OK for me now, but I will need to raise my physical ability to perform competitively. To that end, I'll be training full-time after this ice show."
Indeed, Kim will need to start from scratch entering B-level competitions later this year in order for her to gain enough points to participate in the Grand-Prix series as well as the World Championships.
[Reporter : Song Ji-sun
song@arirang.co.kr] "Kim says she's got her programs ready for the new season -- with her short program choreographed to 'Kiss of the Vampire' and her free skating to 'Les Miserables' -- both of which we could be seeing as early as December.

"But when you watched Kim Yu-na . . .Well, it was like watching Jordan. It was like watching Wayne Gretzky, the puck on his stick, behind the net, occupying his "office." It was like watching Michael Johnson come screaming down the stretch in Atlanta in 1996. You may not know why it's awesome to watch. You just know that it is." -MIKE VACCARO, NY POST
NBC Reporter: "The Whole country behind you..."
Yuna Kim: "Yeah..." as she smiled.

1. She practiced regularly prior to her decision to compete.
2. She also practiced 3/3 but not so often. Hence, she have to practice more on 3/3.
3. She now practices full time+off-ice physical training ( as in her competitive seasons).
4. She will got a B-event in Dec. but not sure yet which event it will be.
5. One of her difficulties is to adapt to new spin rules.
6. She will continue practicing in Korea until Dec. (After that, I think she will move to NA).

Lambiel: The competition next year will be tough in all four categories. There is just so much talent out there! I look forward to the return of Yu-Na Kim. She has developed a great deal as a performer since she last competed with her exhibition programs. The competition in Sochi should be pretty exciting!
And there is another guy who is happy about Yuna's return
From IFS magazine, Evan is talking about Yuna's comeback
