I'm really excited about the JGP season, too, especially about Radionova's debut, I think she could be the next Lipnitskaya :respec1: I remember watching her programs last year: :thumbsup_anim: :jawdrop2:, especially this one:

So, two days and we'll know!!

Lena is much better overall skater then Julia, she has better jump technique and she feels the music, this is what Julia can't be proud of.

Elena= B) :smoke3: :swoon1:

I think she could be another Lipnitskaya, only with much better jumps (3lz+3t and 3lo+3t) and artistry.

Does anyone know who Titushkina is?? And I would consider Hwi Choi one of the contenders for the medals in the first JGP, her programs quite impressed me at the Asian Trophy, she landed a 3Lz+3T in the SP!! :thumbup: But she needs to work a lot on her speed... :eusathink:

Juliana Titushkina was 3rd at Russian Novice Nationals and 11th at Russian Junior Nationals

2011-2012 SP

2011-2012 FS

As for Hwi Choi, I forgot about her when making the list of medal contenders at JGP 1. Her jump content is impressive (3lz+3t and 3s+3t) but I find her skating boring and unartistic.

Wow, what a wonderful skater (I obviously mean Titushkina): she reminds me of Polina S. and Kostner: long legs, big and long jumps! I really like that SP, she seems to feel the music a lot and she's so elegant for being a 13-years old girl! :wub:
About Choi, she's so young and she hasn't got any international experience, so I hope this JGP season would help her (and her coach/choreographer)to understand what she needs to improve her artistry, which, at the moment, is really bad, especially her flow on the ice and (like most of the junior girls) the feeling of the music!! :popcorn:

I'm personally rooting for Lena, Ulya and Satoko. JGP is always a great start of the skating season, go girls! :respec1: Btw it's interesting why Ulyana is Juliana in the english version but oh well :biggrin2:

Yay, another person who likes Titushkina!!! :D She is one of my favorite Russian junior ladies and I hope she can become more well known. Her SP: :wub: and her FS: B).

As for Hwi Choi (and most other junior ladies') artistry, with the difficulty that the junior ladies have been attempting on the JGP, you expect everything else to be up to that level and forget that they are juniors and less artistically mature. Also (with Hwi Choi), every other Korean junior lady I've seen (Hae-Jin, So-Yeon, Ho-Jung, Yeon-Jun, Da-Bin Choi, Ji-Hyun Byng) has had good artistry/presentation, so maybe my expectation was a bit too high?

Aysa, maybe the Russian U sounds the same as the English J?

Hm, to me Juliana is more like Julia, but I guess maybe she by herself chose that version just like Yuna. :laughing:

I thinks it's been a long time since there were this many rising stars in junior ladies field. There are more then 20 skaters whose names you've heard before. Even with Julia, Liza, and Adelina gone, the field is still jam-packed with so many talents!

BTW, Asya, who are those gorgeous ladies in your signature image?
