2006-2011

  • 2011 World Championships
  • Yu-Na won her fifth consecutive world medal, a silver. Continued a streak of medals at 5 consecutive World championships, 23 consecutive ISU events and 19 senior ISU events. It is the current longest medal streak for the ladies at Worlds since Michelle Kwan's (who won nine consecutive world medals). At all five world championships, she won either the SP or LP.
  • 2006-2010
  • During this Olympic quad (Fall 2006-2010 Worlds), was the only ladies skater to:
    • World Championships
      • Win the world championship by winning both the short and long program (previous was Irina Slutskaya in 2005)
      • Win the world championship by winning the long (previous was Kimmie Meissner in 2006)
      • Medal at every World Championship
      • Win at least one segment (short or long) at every World Championship

  • Successfully defended the following titles (wins in consecutive seasons): Grand Prix Final (2006 & 2007), Cup of China (2007 & 2008), Skate America (2008 & 2009). Won 4 consecutive senior Korean national championships (2003-2006).
  • Went undefeated in her final junior season, 2005-2006, winning all 4 consecutive ISU events and both segments at every competition.
  • Has won a segment (short or long) in every competition entered from the fall of 2005 through 2011 Worlds, starting with the 2005 JGP Slovakia through 2011 Worlds. (23 consecutive ISU events; 19 senior ISU events).
  • Has won 12 ISU competitions by winning both the short and long (7 senior, 5 junior).
  • Has won 4 of the 6 current Grand Prix events (Trophee Eric Bompard, Cup of China, Cup of Russia, and Skate America). She has won a bronze at Skate Canada, and she has never been invited to NHK Trophy. Has won 3 of those events twice (Trophee Eric Bompard, Cup of China, Skate America).
  • Was the first ladies skater from a country other than the USA to win Skate America twice. She also won it consecutively, which only Michelle Kwan has done (Michelle won it 7 times). The only other skaters to win Skate America more than once are Tiffany Chin and Tonya Harding (two each).
  • Was the first ladies skater from a non-European country to win Cup of Russia in 2007 (previous winners were from Russia, Ukraine, and Switzerland).
